Comic Con Scotland Day 2

The second day of Comic Con Scotland is following the format of the first. Mark is at his table for autographs and selfies with occasional breaks to do photo ops (solo, duo with Ruth, and Supernatural group photos), and there are long queues for both. I’m posting this during Mark’s lunch break — there are more sessions this afternoon.

Mark’s wearing a Jiu Jitsu teeshirt — with Frankie back home in LA and no time for BJJ, that’s two of his basic hierarchy of needs missing so I expect he’ll be happy to get home to the dojo after the weekend. I asked Mark for a jiu-jitsu inspired pose in the photo op this morning as he was wearing his BJJ teeshirt. I’m happy with how the photo turned out. I have another photo op later; I’m not sure yet if I’ll ask for a pose or do the standard side hug — both are good options!

The venue is busier today, but the organisation is great. There are a lot of people in the photo ops, but they keep the queue moving quite quickly and the photo is ready as you leave. It’s a great system. Mark takes his time with fans at his table, so that’s the best place to go if you want a quick chat.

One thing that’s different about this afternoon is the Supernatural panel. There are two stages, with Q&As happening throughout the day on the stage in the large vendor room and other activities happening on the stage in the main hall. A lot of people have dressed up, and there are regular cosplay events on the main hall stage. It’s a lot of fun and really adds to the atmosphere.
