Many objectivists, I’ve noticed, have used Objectivism as a rationalization to not be emotional. Maybe because they fear their emotions. But emotions have a very important place in your life. They’re not tools of cognition; they’re signs you’re into your internal mechanism, what you value and how you perceive the world. They need to be paid attention to and not repressed, not pushed away as if they don’t matter. Because they do!
