As long as our culture is dominated by collectivism and altruism, the Liberty Movement is going to seem like the crazy alternative. The absolutely nutty, unhinged alternative. So it’s two sides of the of the same coin. Either sacrifice yourself to others, or be the crazy libertarian guy who sacrifices others to himself. That’s the false dichotomy that we’re given, and until we’re able to change the narrative in our culture, that maybe sacrifice isn’t such a great thing. Maybe collectivism sucks. Maybe the real thing that actually benefits us is individualism. Maybe the idea of reasoned self-interest is something that we should actually look into.
