1) doesn’t think the state is inherently evil. Just dangerous like many useful human tools which need to be used specifically.
2) understands all states are animated by ethics.
3) understands the moral foundation of rights and the necessity that they be protected by deferring retaliatory force to an org specially designed for rational conflict resolution.
4) understands force is not private or a market phenomenon.
5) is not passivist.
6) can hold no form of collectivism within its ranks.
7) believes that proper competition between gov’s already exists within the federalist system as guided by the republican principles in the constitution.
8) understands most competition between gov’s is called war.
