It was a fun day at Infinity Con. Mark was looking super cool in a black polo neck, with Lucifer hair and no beanie (making a few people in our group very happy!) and there were lots of Mark and Lucifer fans there to meet him. The atmosphere was fab – happy and relaxed. Infinity is a fabulous con to visit.
The day started with Mark’s meet and greet, which was a lot of fun. Mark was really on form and didn’t want to stop the conversation at the end.
Autographs were next — before the photo ops, which left a few people wondering what to get signed. But autographs are always a good chance to have a little chat with Mark, which is my favourite part of the autograph session. The queue was really long when we got there, much longer than the other actors doing autographs at the same time, which was lovely to see.
Mark has a Q&A panel both days. He was hilarious in the Saturday panel. Also, during Mark’s panel, someone made a weird pattern on the stage, as if a chair had been dragged backwards and forwards. Obviously it wasn’t Mark… ! A couple people were nervous about asking questions, so Mark brought them up onto the stage to sit in his chair and ask questions with the whole audience looking at them. Confront your fears! There was a mix of old and new questions, and it was very entertaining. We got to hear a bit more about Mark’s promotion to BJJ blue belt, which was really touching and something he should be extremely proud of as he’s worked hard to earn that rank. Mark also talked about his favourite role to play — Hamlet — and his favourite role to play on TV — Gavin Q. Baker III — and answered some questions about Supernatural and Lost.
The last session of the day with Mark was the photo ops. The queue was HUGE and we had to wait a long time. I decided on a hug photo op for my solo, but also had a fun joint pic with my friend Rose where the three of us are looking at our phones.
The day ends with Karaoke, which Mark said he’s going to for a little while.
