The biggest problem with the right is that it has no effective, philosophical answer to the left.

The right buys the left’s ethical premises (altruism) while carrying on the pretense of individualism via respect for traditional groups (family etc)

Respect for property? Not if it’s a social media company intentionally limiting your reach. What about individual sovereignty? Not if it’s woke. Choice? Not when it comes to your body or marriage partner. They want to tax me less, but not much. They want to protect the welfare state and make it more efficient. Not eliminate it altogether. They’re for school choice not full privatization. They called for high school public service… they started the EPA, took us off the gold standard… economically weaponized China… so.. yeah. Pretense.
