Mark Pellegrino: reason and productivity

I deduce good and bad by the standard of the nature of the entity I am referring to. For a human, whose nature is rational (meaning my survival depends fundamentally upon my rational faculty), that which is good for a rational being is good. This is why rational virtues start with reason as the number one virtue and productivity as the number two virtue. Productivity is the rational being’s creative interaction with the material world.
